Who we are, what we do
"no crisis too small"
Terry Freedman Ltd is an independent ICT consultancy. ICT is "information
& communication technology", often referred to as "educational
technology".
We help schools and school districts/local authorities to get the best out of
their investment in educational technology, whether by working with them on
their strategic development plan, teaching them how to manage their technical
support, or in other ways. We also work with government agencies.
Our services include:
- Practical advice, eg about implementing new approaches in
teaching ICT or teaching with ICT, or new initiatives, such as the UK's
Every Child Matters.
- Writing, eg drafting or writing bids to access funding;
writing strategy documents.
- Strategic management in ICT, eg how to organise and manage
technical support at the school level.
- ICT leadership training, eg Terry Freedman is a trainer for
the UK's SLICT (Strategic Leadership in ICT) programme.
- Articles, eg Terry Freedman has had around 1000 articles
published in various journals in the UK and USA.
- Newsletter: Computers in Classrooms is a
free ezine which many teachers find invaluable.
- Premium information services: for example, our Leading
& Managing ICT subscription service provides advice and information on very
specific issues, in a form which is ideal for busy leaders and managers.
- Books and booklets: we have published and self-published a
large number of books on ICT and related topics, including the best-selling
"Managing ICT", and the list is growing.
