beachAs you may have worked out, I decided to take a short break.

Here is a quick summary of what I did, and a preview of what's coming up.

One of the things we did was to meet Sharon Peters in London, twice.

Sharon has just spent over 6 weeks in South Africa and Kenya as part of a Teachers Without Borders expedition. Flying from Canada to Africa via England, she had a day in London each way.

The first time, we had a great time chatting over lunch and going to the Victoria and Albert museum, where there was an exhibition called Blood on Paper. That was about different people's idea of what a book is.

The second time, we spent a lot of time in a café listening to Sharon talking about education in SA and Kenya (and unfortunately an even longer time shopping). Very moving it was too, and I have it all recorded thanks to my trusty Edirol recorder.L1000022 So, once I've edited that I'll be posting it here as a podcast. I think you'll find it fascinating.

We also spent a few days in Suffolk, and most of the pics I took are here. I intend to use some of the pics in a series of school-related articles in the very near future.

I'm also working on the latest issue of Practical ICT, several articles for periodicals and websites, and my ongoing work on the new Diploma. I'm also still trying to find time to make a few changes to this website. Such a shame that I need to sleep occasionally Laughing

But the first blog post, coming soon, is about a new item of school uniform that has caused a bit of a furore.

Finally, I drew the beach scene above myself, which I think illustrates (pardon the pun) why I didn't major in art....
