Coming of Age comes of age

The book about using Web 2.0 in education, called "Coming of Age: An Introduction to the New Worldwide Web", is being developed.

The first (current) edition has been downloaded at least 3,000 times, been read by at least 30,000 people according to my estimates and has been found useful all over the world.

I have to say, when I first embarked on this project, I thought it would be successful, but even I've been taken aback by just how successful -- at leas in terms of numbers.

What I would really like is some feedback about how you've used it in an educational setting. Such information will form part of the second edition that I'm working on even as I write, metaphorically speaking. The new edition will feature case studies, many more writers, and many more topics.

I'm aware that part of the reason for the popularity of the first edition was that it was manageable in terms of size. So, in an attempt to keep it manageable despite its expansion, I've written a sort of quick-start guide to it.

I've also addressed the gender imbalance of the first edition: many more women are contributing to the next one. Also, more countries are now represented.

I'm going to be posting the latest iteration of the table of contents soon -- I just need to complete some work I'm actually being paid for!
