My apologies for some rapid changes in the appearance of this website. Here's a quick list of what I've been doing, and why.

As you may have seen, I've been thinking about making a few big changes for some time now, and have recently set up a survey to find out what people think. This has been very useful so far, and I've been experimenting and acting on some of the suggestions. My primary motive is to try and make the information more accessible, in the sense of letting people know what's there.

I'd like to thank Andrew Field in particular, for some very pragmatic suggestions and links. Check out his Effective ICT website, especially 20 Ideas in 20 Minutes. It's excellent, both in itself and as a way of getting the old mental juices flowing.

Anyway, here is a list of the things I've done so far, not all of which may be permanent: please bear with me!

    • Moved the yellow menu up to the top of the page. It had gradually moved lower and lower as I added more links and widgets.

    • Added a few items to the menu: the main RSS feed links, plus links to information about the Computers in Classrooms newsletter and the Practical ICT eJournal.

    • Changed the text of one or two menu items.

    • Changed the menu font.

    • Removed the Live Help widget.

    • Changed the font of the most recent articles from Arial and Georgia to Tahoma.

If you have any views about these changes, please feel free to comment, or complete the survey.

    Thanks.
