If ever there was a solution in search of a problem, it's Twitter. Still, it's all good fun, and while it lasts (ie, before the new 'best thing' sweeps it aside without so much as a by-your-leave), more and more uses seem to be discovered for it.
One such use was evident at the recent Naace 2009 Conference, where several people, especially the seemingly indefatigable Neil Adam, used Twitter as a means of providing a running commentary on what the speaker was saying. Being in Twitter, each commentary conferred the advantage of brevity and the benefit of being interspersed with others' comments or commentaries.
Surely the next logical step would be to assign Twitter scribes to each presentation, including the workshops, to make sure there was coverage of everything? An idea for next year's conference perhaps?
