Unfortunately, a malignant Fate has decreed that I will be unable to attend this prestigious event in person, although I may be able to attend virtually.

Here's a quick run-down of what's in store, if you're able to either attend or tune in this evening.

Mirandanet is a research organisation in the world of educational ICT, and in this, the second of its unconferences, the theme is Visual Learning. I'm not sure if I will be able to put something together in time for presenting it via video tonight, but I will still be tuning in.

The round table discussion featuring Dr John Cuthell of Mirandanet, Vanessa Pittard of Becta and Rachel Jones of Steljes will certainly be worth listing to I think, as I am familiar with the work of all of these people.

This is followed by a series of 5 minute talks given by such luminaries of the Web 2.0 and Twitter scene in the UK as Tom Barrett, Drew Buddie, Theo Kuechel, Dai Barnes, Daniel Needlestone and Leon Cych, ably lurked by (and, hopefully, contributed to by) Miles Berry, José Picardo and others.

I should also mention, of course, the indefatigable Christina Preston, who I believe will be leading the proceedings.

For full details, including links to the people mentioned above and the address for the streaming video, look here.

If you attend, either virtually or in person, and wish to write about for Computers in Classrooms, please let me know. Speaking of which, the latest issue is out now. Click here to find out more.
